A driver accused of assaulting a motorcyclist with a mallet at a set of traffic lights in Edinburgh has been found guilty of a breach of the peace by a jury at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Brian Docherty was charged with a breach of the peace, assault, and possession of a lock-knife, but the jury judged the latter two charges to be not proven.

Docherty is due to be sentenced by the end of March.
