One of the highlights of the Brands BSB weekend was this stunning collection of historic race bikes, many of which were ridden on parade laps by their famous riders, including Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read and Dave Croxford.

Around 30 legendary machines, ranging from 1960s Mike Hailwood Hondas, to ‘70s Sheene Suzukis right up to Loris Capirossi’s awesome 990 Ducati Desmosedici, were assembled to mark Brands’ glittering bikesport history.

Fifteen times world champ Ago rode not just his legendary 500cc MV Agusta triple but also a Yamaha 750cc OW31 two-stroke four; seven-times world champ Phil Read was aboard an ex-Kenny Roberts Yamaha OW48; Dave Croxford was out on a 1973 John Player Norton; Mick Grant rode his famous ‘Green Meanie’ 1975 Kawasaki KR750 while other famous riders included: Paul Smart (1972 Suzuki TR750); Steve Parrish (Suzuki RG500); Tommy Robb (125cc Yamaha OW15); Tony Rutter (Ducati TTF1); Mike Hailwood’s son David (aboard the 250/4, 350/4 and 500/4 Hondas).
