Ecotracer out-riggers at the flick of a switch

1 of 3

When MCN reported on the launch of the new Ecotracer – the 150mph electric cabin bike costing £80,000 – one of the captions rather foolishly said the outrigger support wheels dropped down automatically.

As any aficionado of enormous fully-enclosed motorcycles will tell you, the out-rigger wheels are in fact operated by the rider via a switch on the dash.

Automatic deployment has apparently been considered, but it’s difficult to get right and rather embarrassing when it goes wrong. We apologise for the error.

While we’re on the subject of corrections, our Ecotracer story also implied the company making the bikes was Czech. In fact Peraves is a Swiss company, though all the bikes are built in the Czech Republic.
