2010 VMCC Banbury Run dates announced

1 of 1

The Vintage Motor Cycle Club’s 62nd ‘Banbury Run’ for pre-1931 motorcycles will be run on Sunday June 20 2010.

The event is open to any road-legal vintage motorcycle built before 1931, and the limited 600 entries makes it the biggest run of its type in the world.

The 600 places on the run always sell out, so you need to get your entry in early.

There’s three routes covering up to sixty miles starting and finishing at the Motor Heritage Centre in Gaydon. Worcestershire.

The longest route is the timed, competition route – the challenge is to achieve an average speed rated for each type of machine, stopping at checkpoints along the way.

There’s non-competitive and shorter routes for machines not up to the full run, or for those who just want to enjoy the ride.

There will also be a Bonhams auction of Pioneer, Vintage and Veteran machines the day before (Saturday 19 June 2010), and spectators who pay the £6 entry fee get access to the museum too.

There’s an autojumble too. Banbury run entry fee tba.
