World exclusive: 2010 TCX boots

MCN has just been shown TCX’s all-new, 2010 boot range in Italy. Along with updates to the current line, there is a new race boot, women-only boots, touring and street footwear. Here’s an example of what to expect when we show you all the boots that matter in next week’s MCN.

The all-new Competitzione S-Race (available in black, white, blue or red) replaces the firm’s current Competitzione S, and features a new version of the firm’s Torsion Control System, claimed to offer greater flexibility.

It also showcases TCX’s new Metatarsal Control System (MCS), designed to provide maximum movement while preventing the risk of fractures to the metatarsal area in a crash.

The new MCS features are shared by a totally new boot to the range – the S-Zero, which the firms claims is ‘a boot with racing features that is also ideal for less extreme uses’. It’s available in black or white.

TCX’s new women’s boots are designed to suit ‘the female foot’s special anatomical features’.

There’s one pair designed for women who ride – the T-Lily Gore-Tex – and a boot designed specifically for lady passengers – the Lady Aura Waterproof.
