New Arai TT replica: do you want it?

These are the first pictures of TT racer Gary Johnson’s special Arai paintjob that the Lincolnshire man will be donning for his Isle of Man campaign. And Arai has said that if MCN readers like it, they’ll have a special limited run made.

Earlier this year MCN readers replied to a poll, overwhelmingly calling for Arai to import a new Freddie Spencer replica RX7 GP after it was announced the three times GP world title winner’s replica helmet would only go on sale in Japan.

The design has been sprayed by legendary helmet painter Rich Art to celebrate Arai’s 25 years at the TT. Gary Johnson, who’ll be setting off with the number one plate this season, will wear the split Union Jack and Manx design, and his lid will then be auctioned off at the Riders for Health auction in November at the NEC Motorcycle Show.
