KTM is putting nearly half of its workforce on part-time work from May until August, effectively losing two months of motorcycle production.

The cut in hours will affect a wide range of staff from factory workers to office staff, and production will drop by 25%.

KTM has already announced plans to lay off 150 workers from core employees and 150 staff from it temporary work force. The firm is expecting business to improve in 2010.
