Subsidised Suzuki GSX-Rs and Gladius for racers

Suzuki’s 2010 race programme will include cut price GSX-R600, GSX-R750, GSX-R1000 and Gladius motorcycles for racers.

Brand-new motorcycles will be available at reduced cost to anyone competing in British Superbike supported classes or the club-level MRO championships.

A race kit for the Gladius 650 to make it Minitwins-ready is also being investigated, but isn’t confirmed as definitely being available.

Bikes will be available through Suzuki main dealers who will have more details on price for the individual bikes.

The scheme is being managed by Suzuki’s former BSB champion-turned  Suzuki GB race director, John Reynolds. He said:

“We are delighted to announce the 2010 racing programme.

“Despite the success achieved by Suzuki at the highest levels of racing in BSB and National Superstock in 2009, we are keen to help up and coming racers get a competitive ride at a competitive price.

“Equally, we hope the scheme will help to boost grid numbers, which can only be positive for the sport.”
