Apology from North Wales Police

Today I was pulled by North Wales Police on the A5 in Corwen and given a ticket VRM fail to comform to regulations ticket.

The officer said my number plate was too small.

I protested that it is a standard plate and was supplied by Hunts motorcycles at the time of the first registration.

I also took issue with him on the way North Wales Police were harrasing motorcyclists and said that I understood why some of my friends, (but not myself) say they would not piss on one if he was on fire.

I also pointed out to him that these tactics do not help the already poor public immage of the police.

At approx 5pm I received a phone call from the officer offering his sincere apologies saying that he had made a silly mistake and no further action would be taken.

I was tempted to make a complaint but have decided not to on the grounds that I swore at him quite a bit and he could have charged me for that. Might frame the ticket though 🙂 Yours Dave.
