Mira product testing competition

1 of 2

Ever yearned for a day in the life of a crash test dummy?

Independent product testers MIRA are offering 20 volunteers just that.

Run in conjunction with Birmingham’s On Two Wheels bike show (18 July), MIRA will be highlighting the show’s safety credentials by opening the doors to their product testing Proving Ground near Nuneaton.

The lucky few selected will be testing a variety of helmets and gloves as part of a Europe-wide research project.

The tests will be run on MIRA’s own bikes, including a laser-laden Speed Triple designed to measure every aspect of the ride.

Previous innovations tested by MIRA include bike-based ABS systems, and this is the first time the facilities have been opened to the public.

The competition is open to men and women of all ages and experience, providing they hold a full motorbike licence.

To take part, riders should visit the MIRA stand at the On Two Wheels show and fill in a short questionnaire.
