Ross Noble's Sit Down Tour: Edinburgh Castle to Newcastle

Stand up comedian and bike enthusiast Ross Noble embarked on the Sit Down Tour in May to celebrate half a million bikes being produced at the Hinckley factory in Leicestershire.

Noble toured the UK on the 500,000th Triumph, a custom-painted Speed Triple, and was guided entirely by suggestions from followers of his Twitter account – leading to a route that covered all corners of the UK.

In the final instalment of the tour Noble leaves Edinburgh with an additional five bikes in convoy, heading to Alnwick Castle where he’s joined by 200 bikers for a mass ride-out to a Triumph dealer in Newcastle.

After returning the bike to Triumph’s Hinckley factory, the special Speed Triple was auctioned at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with the proceeds going to bike charity Riders for Health who provide bikes to outreach health workers across Africa enabling them to reach rural villages.
