Meeting heroes through biking!

Last Sunday I met two of my heroes! I entered my RD-Hejira hand built custom race bike in the Durham Constabulary Bikewise Event last Sunday.

It won the runners up award for Best Custom Bike and I got presented with my trophy by Shane Byrne and John McGuinness!

The bike was built in memory of my darling wife Vanessa, who passed away on October 8 2009. It is a 1981 Hejira race frame with a 1976 RD250C Yamaha aircooled engine.
