Vets with horsepower

Eight of Britain’s most senior academic and practicing equine vets will be travelling to four venues on their bikes. The “vets with horsepower” team led by Liverpool Uinversity’s Professor Derek Knottenbelt is doing a charity endurance event in their leathers to raise money for World Horse Welfare and the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA).

The vets will hold presentations beginning at 9.30am on topics such as colic, strangles, worming, weight and wounds at the following venues:

18 July: Hartpury College; 19 July: Hall Farm; 20 July: Bishop Burton College; 21 July: Oatridge College.
