Fantasy Road Race: Stoner and Checa on fire

Casey Stoner’s red-hot form and Carlos Checa’s continued domination of World Superbikes helped Clive Mewton win round three of this year’s MCN Fantasy Road Race competition in association with MCE Insurance.

Spaniard Checa notched up an impressive 109 points, including another stunning double win at Misano.

Meanwhile Stoner’s blistering speed on the Repsol Honda RC212V saw him take his season’s tally to 142 points, with the Australian dominating the recent Le Mans, Catalunya and Silverstone races.

Stoner’s team-mate Adrea Dovizioso’s return to the podium in Le Mans and Shane Byrne’s excellent form in MCE British Superbikes also scored valuable points for Clive, who wins a set of Pirelli tyres worth £270.

Liam Lavers too wasn’t complaining about the diabolical weather during the recent Thruxton meet. His choices of HM Plant Honda rider Byrne and Swan Yamaha’s Michael Laverty not only earned him an impressive 75 points, but his choices won him a pair of tickets to a future MCE British Superbike round.
