Donington Park-based Norton motorcycles are on the BBC tonight as part of a special TV preview for this weekend’s WSB round.

Norton’s sales manager and ex-WSB racer Chris Walker performs some demonstration laps of the re-modelled Derbyshire circuit as part of the build-up to this weekend’s event.

Riding a Norton Café Racer SP, Chris laps the 2.498 mile Grand Prix circuit with an onboard camera. He said afterwards: “The new circuit is in A1 condition in readiness for this weekends World Superbike races.

“Kevin Wheatcroft and his team have worked tirelessly over the winter months to bring the circuit back to life. It was an honour to make a few laps today and what made it even more special was to do it on none other than our Norton Cafe Racer SP.”

You can view the footage on BBC1 East Midlands Today at 6:45pm today, Friday 25th March. For those outside the region it’s on channel 980 on your Sky box.
