Longer reach for CTEK chargers

There’s not always enough cable on a battery charger to reach from the plug to your bike, which is why charging specialist CTEK has added an extension lead to its range.

The 2.5-metre cable extends the range of the CTEK XS 0.8 charger to allow for wall-mounting of the charger or for those who want to charge their bike’s battery outdoors. It saves the need to run a normal household extension lead to the bike, which may have implications when used outdoors.

CTEK chargers come with a harness with ring connectors at the battery end and a waterproof plug at the other. This extension lead plugs into the waterproof connector at one end and the charger’s standard cable at the other.

CTEK’s Peter White said: “Feedback we were getting was that consumers needed longer cables for a variety of reasons – for some it was so that they could mount the charger on a wall in their garage or workshop and for others it was because their vehicle was parked outside and therefore quite a distance from mains power.”
