Retro-style faired Street Triple

This bolt-on kit for the Triumph Street Triple 675 is the work of aftermarket accessory firm Powerbronze. Costing £1800, it transforms the naked roadster into a retro café racer in just a few hours.

The kit is entirely made of pre-preg carbon-fibre and comprises a fairing, front LED light, seat unit, tail light, numberplate holder, exhaust heat shield, screen, heel guards, hugger and some sundry other parts, and it fits without any alterations to the original bike beneath.

A fully kitted bike was revealed for the first time at Motorcycle Live last week, and was shown with a set of Kineo spoked wheels fitted – although these are not part of the kit and will add another £1800 to the bill if you specify them.

Powerbronze told MCN: “The Street Triple is perfect for this treatment. The entire kit can be fitted in an afternoon and there is nothing that needs cutting on the original bike.”

Keeping the kit as simple as possible extends to some clever shortcuts, like flipping the handlebars and rotating them forwards for a cheap and easy way of giving the look and feel of clip-on bars without adding further expense.

Another clever part is the floating rear numberplate holder which is clamped securely in place by the swingarm axle bolts with a power cable for the numberplate light and indicators running up the inside of the swingarm.

The kit is available now via www.powerbronze.co.uk.
