1 of 1

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the UK market have shown another big leap in May 2015; up 11.3% year-on-year and a 10.7% increase when compared to May 2014.

That 10.7% increase equates to 11,638 motorcycles and scooters sold in May and the 11.3% rise means 47,837 two wheelers have been sold until the end of May 2015.

Yamaha is the big winner in terms of sales with the MT-09 Tracer outselling the usually dominant BMW R1200GS in the Adventure Sport category, the MT-07 was the best-selling Naked model and the YZF-125R was the best-selling Supersport bike. The Yamaha YZF-R3 was the best-selling in the 126cc to 650cc engine band too.
