Slovenian exhaust manufacturers Akrapovič will donate the first in a series of special edition exhausts launched to celebrate their 25th anniversary to the Day of Champions, MotoGP’s annual charity day set to be held next Thursday at Silverstone.

The special edition slip-on exhausts are limited to only 25 pieces, available for a range of bikes – and have the added bonus of coming signed by a host of MotoGP stars for the charity day.

A pair of Ducati Multistrada 1200 exhausts come signed by Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso, a set of Yamaha R1 exhausts signed by Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, and Moto3 championship leader Brad Binder’s name on a KTM 1290 Super Duke R, and three-time world champion Loris Capirossi has put his moniker on the BMW S 1000 RR exhaust in his role as the MotoGP safety advisor

Speaking as the special prizes were unveiled, Akrapovič founder Igor Akrapovič says it’s a proud moment to be involved with the charity event.

“I am delighted that we will be supporting Two Wheels for Life alongside our partners in MotoGP. This is a very important charity that has done so much for the health of people in hard-to-reach villages in Africa.

“The Day of Champions at the British Grand Prix is always a big event that is supported by all the MotoGP riders and this will give us a chance to show our support and provide race fans the opportunity to own a unique part of our history, whilst at the same time raising valuable funds for a very worthy cause.”
