9 great toy runs to attend this Christmas

Let’s not forget, Christmas is about giving, so we’ve come up with a list of Christmas charity runs taking place across the UK over the next couple of weeks. Get out on your bike, and help a good cause!

Santa’s On A Bike, December 2

This is actually four different rides – all in the south west. The rides set off from Bristol, Plymouth, Devon and Essex. Head to santasonabike.org.uk for more information.

Roughleys Toy Run, December 3

Leaving Stockport Tesco at midday, the Roughleys Toy Run will be heading to the Rainbow Family Trust in Didsbury and The Together Trust in Cheadle. The route is suitable for learners.

Santa Paws Run, December 3

The Santa Paws Run, as you might have guessed from the name, is providing help for our four legged friends this Christmas. Meet at the Bideford river bank car park from 12:30pm. Attendees are asked to provide something for the dogs as well as £1 donation per bike.

Burton Toy Run, December 3

The 16th annual Burton Toy Run starts at 9am at the Shobnall Sports andSocial Club. The ride leaves at 11am to the Fountains School, where refreshments will be available.

Three Amigo’s Toy Run, December 9

Meeting at the Commons car park, Pembroke at midday, the Three Amigo’s Toy Run will be leaving at 1pm to deliver toys to the local children’s ward.

Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run, December 10

This year’s Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run starts at 9am, with breakfast at La Pergola, before the escorted ride heads to Addenbrookes. 387 bikers took part in 2016.

Reading Toy Run, December 10

This year marks 32 years of the Reading Toy Run, which this year takes place at Foster Wheeler from 1pm. The organisers request toys be unwrapped, with all donations going towards Barnado’s.

Paws ‘n’ Claws Run, December 10

Another one for our four legged friends, the Paws ‘n’ Claws Run will meet at the Ace Café at 7am to deliver gifts to the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Rise.

Ace Café Toy Run, December 17

The world famous Ace Café’s annual toy run sets off into central London at 11am, heading for the children’s wards of St Mary’s, Royal Brompton and Evelina Children’s Hospital. Upon return to the café there will be prizes for the best dressed bikes and riders.
