Joey Dunlop tribute at London Show

Pay homage to the King of the Roads as an incredible collection of Joey’s bikes and memorabilia is assembled in London

Next month’s Carole Nash MCN London Show is playing host to an unmissable tribute to the greatest real roads racer of all time – Joey Dunlop. MCN and the Dunlop family are bringing together, for the first time on the UK mainland, the machines and memorabilia that mark pivotal moments in Dunlop’s life.

Affectionately known by fans the world over as ‘Yer maun’, Joey’s career saw him achieve a tally of 26 Isle of Man TT wins, 24 Ulster Grand Prix titles and 13 victories at the North West 200.

His greatest ever win came in 2000, his 32nd year of racing, in what was to be his final TT appearance. His victory in the F1 race on a totally new, ill-handling Honda VTR SP1, which he had hardly ridden before, was the crowning glory of a long and glittering career. On his day, the remarkably humble and down to earth racer from Ballymoney in Northern Ireland was nothing short of breathtaking.

This collection of bikes and memorabilia has never been seen outside of Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man and includes leathers, helmets, personal effects and key bikes. His 1988 Honda RC30, 1991 Harris Honda CBR600, 1999 Harris Honda CBR600, 1999 Honda RC45, 2000 Honda RS250 and 2000 Honda SP1 will take centre stage.

It’s very unlikely that such a collection will be assembled again so don’t miss your chance to see this remarkable collection at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle show. To find out more and for tickets, click here.
