Event: Ride one of the longest track straights in the UK for just £10
What: Brunters Blast
When: 14 August
Where: Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Lutterworth, Leics, LE17 5QS
A charity event in the Midlands will give bikers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride one of the longest track straights in the UK*.
Ride In 2016 is on August 14 and starts at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, located five miles from junction 20 of the M1 at Lutterworth. It is organised by the air ambulance charity covering Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
Riders will complete a circuit of the four-mile track and ride the two-mile straight before departing the former airfield to ride under escort 40 miles to the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling – the largest event of its type in the UK.
It isn’t usually possible for individual bikers to experience the thrill of racing around the Bruntingthorpe track so taking part in Ride In 2016 is a must for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Early bird tickets to join Ride In 2016 cost just £10, compared to £15 for on-the-day sign-ups. The ticket price includes entry to the Brackley event – unique in the UK as it uses the town’s closed-off High Street as a display and parade arena, and designated parking close to the best of the action.
The air ambulance charity receives no government funding and relies on public donations to operate its lifesaving services. It has been the main beneficiary of the Brackley Festival since it started in 2008
You can sign up for Ride In 2016 by logging on to www.theairambulanceservice.org.uk/ridein or turn up on the day at 8am when riders are assembling
