Team Classic Suzuki complete Katana endurance racer build at Motorcycle Live

A few weeks back Team Classic Suzuki announced that they would be building a legendary Katana at Motorcycle Live that will then be raced next year at the four-hour Endurance Legends race on 7 May at Donington Park.

To follow this up, they have just released a video showing the completed machine and crew chief, Nathan Colombi talking through the process of putting the bike together over the duration of the event.

The build was backed by Suzuki’s Vintage Parts Programme, which supplies new parts for older machines, making it easier to keep classics on the road without the hassle of laboriously sourcing second-hand parts of unknown quality. Supplementing this was also a host of performance and tuning parts to make the machine more competitive in the race.

In the video, Colombi comments, “We’ve put together a package that within the race rules really is the best that we can get.”

Team Classic Suzuki have built a TL1000S and a GSX-R750 at shows previously but this is the first time that a race bike has been completed.
