Video: MCN Award winners 2016
The biking landscape has changed dramatically over the past few years and the choice out there is more diverse and interesting than ever. No matter how you like to get your two-wheeled kicks, more than ever, there’s a perfect machine out there for you.
Even better news is that bike sales are on the up, so there’s a real feelgood factor in the bike world at the moment. Manufacturers are keeping the costs of their machines low and thanks in big part to PCP finance deals, it’s easier than ever to ride out of your local dealership with the bike of your dreams.

This year it’s all about cool roadsters. Triumph’s new Thruxton R, the breathtaking new Yamaha MT-10 or the sultry Ducati XDiavel have all stopped us in our tracks. Any one of these 2016 award-winning naked masterpieces could have easily been awarded the big one: the MCN Overall Machine of the Year. But there was one bike so extraordinarily exceptional that it would have been hard not to present it this coveted accolade.
This year we’ve given MCN awards to the 13 very special machines that have shone the most on launches, road tests and impressed us day-to-day as part of our longterm test fleet.
