New Kawasaki colours for 2018

1 of 28

Kawasaki have added new colours to several of their models for 2018 including the Vulcan S, Versys 650Z1000SX. The ZX-10R and popular Ninja 650 KRT editions will also be getting a new paint scheme which will incorporate the iconic lime green with an ebony and metallic graphite grey contrast.

The naked Z1000 will be available in two new colours for 2018; Emereld Blazed Green, Flat Ebony and Metallic Graphite grey, and Pearl Storm Grey, Candy Surf Blue, Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Graphite Grey.

The supercharged monsters; the Ninja H2 Carbon and Ninja H2R will also both be getting colour updates for the 2018 model year too. With the road-going H2 Carbon getting a mirror coated spark black to matte spark black dual colour look and the blisteringly quick H2R getting updated graphics.

Colour overload

The Z1000’s sport-touring sibling, the Z1000SX also gets new colours for 2018; Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Graphite Grey, Emerald Blazed Green and Metallic Carbon Grey with Metallic Graphite Grey and, finally, Metallic Fusion Silver and Metallic Flat Spark Black. The Z1000SX will be available in the new colours from October 2018, while the naked Z1000 will follow a month later.

The Z1000 R Edition will be getting new indicators and will be getting a metallic matte carbon grey and spark black colourway.

The always popular Versys 650 will be available with three new colours; Pearl Blizzard White and Metallic Spark Black, Candy Lime Green and Metallic Spark Black and the completely different Metallic Matte Covert Green and Metallic Spark Black.

The Vulcan S, Kawasaki’s parallel twin cruiser, will be available in two new colour options of Metallic Flat Spark Black and Pearl Lava Orange. The Vulcan S Cafe will be available in Pearl Storm Grey.

The Versys-X 300, which is a new model this year, gets two new colours for 2018; Candy Lime Green with Metallic Graphite Grey and Metallic Spark Black with Metallic Graphite Grey.

Big mile bashers

The ZZR1400 will be available in metallic carbon grey and emerald blaze green and the ZZR1400 Performance Sport model will feature a predominant emerald blazed green with metallic carbon grey detailing.

The Versys 1000 will be getting three new colourways for the 2018 model year too and will be available in metallic spark black, candy fire red and metallic spark black with the final colour option coming in candy lime green with metallic spark black details and looks especially smart in our opinion.

Z900 joins the party

Kawasaki have now announced a completely new colour for another bike in their Z range, the Z900, which was released this year.

The Z900 will soon be available in Candy Persimmon Red with Metallic Spark Black, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the red GPZs, no? I approve, and a splash of white would really make it even better.

The darkest colour option will now come with red rim tape and will see Flat Ebony replaced with Flat Metallic Spark Black. The Candy Lime Green option will receive a few detail highlights while the Pearl Mystic Grey option remains unchanged.

The new colours on the Z900 will be available in October 2017.

The J300 and J125 scooters will also see some subtle changes and colours too. With the former being available in gunmetal grey and metallic anthracite black alongside a matte option in this colour too.

The smaller J125 will be available in flat anthracite black and matte gunmetal grey and will come with graphic changes too.
