Classic or modern? Which #MCNShow used bike would you pick?

We’ve had a wide variety of used bikes at the 2017 Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show. Some with high price tags, others with a wealth of history but all with an interesting story to tell, whether they’re old or new.

So here are a few of our hand-picked  faves. Which one would you have?

The rigid frame SS80 was despatched from the works April 25, 1938, to Layton Garages in Oxford who at the time were one of the UK’s biggest Brough dealers, and registered five days later on April 30.

A matching number example, the bike has recently completed a comprehensive restoration by a prominent member of the UK Brough Superior Club. In absolutely fabulous condition, it also retains a number of genuine parts including it’s original gearbox and is now fitted with a valuable Bonniksen speedo.

It is supplied with a copy of the factory record card, UK V5C logbook and a continuation buff logbook dated back to 1952.

In addition it has recently been fitted with new chrome rims, stainless steel spokes and new tyres. Having had just two owners in the UK, the bike remains in good general condition however the paint work has some marks on the tank and mudguards.

Mechanically the bike is in very good running order, it starts easily and runs well with no smoke. It is supplied with a UK V5C logbook, MoT until November 2017 and an original owners handbook. A good useable classic.
