Video: This night time desert race looks mad

1 of 1

There are normal enduro races, held in daylight, when, you know, you can clearly see all the obstacle in your way. Then there are races such as the King of The Hammers night race, which looks both terrifying and a lot of fun.

TOP STORIES

King of the Hammers takes part in the rocky terrain of Johnson Valley, California and this night race was just one of three motorcycle races. The other two were held during daylight to make things a little bit easier.

The start of the race looks like a complete free-for-all as dozens of bikes and their riders descend on a tight hairpin bend, with all their head torches focused on the apex.

The video is only short, but does an excellent job of capturing the mayhem of an off-road enduro race. Torch beams dart in all directions, changing directing erratically, no doubt as the riders get bucked out of their seat while trying to find the best line through the rocks.
