MCN reader runs Leeds 10k in full leathers

An MCN reader has done us all proud by running the Leeds 10k for charity in full motorbike leathers, boots and helmet included.

Much respect to Dean Lindley who ran 6.2 miles, during a very warm day to raise money for St Gemma’s Hospice and Candlelights.

Dean told MCN: “I thought because it was for charity I would do something different to help raise money and at the time I thought it would be a good idea to give it a go in my race leathers, helmet, boots etc.

“When the day came, with the sun out and I was sweating at the start line. I soon realised it might of not been a good idea, but I love a challenge.”


With the support of fellow runners and spectators, Dean completed the race in 1 hour and 13 minutes, having raised £650.
