Possible return for Motad exhausts?

1 of 1

British exhaust manufacturer Motad may have been given a lifeline following the closure of the company in March.

The administrators are currently in talks with a potential buyer, which means there may be hope for Motad yet.

They were hit hard when they lost Triumph’s business following the decision by the Hinckley motorcycle manufacturer to move a lot of their production to the Far East.

This was accredited as the downfall for Motad’s failure, with the company citing that the reason they ceased trading was down to the loss of a major OEM contract.

Motad started up in London in the 60s before moving to the West Midlands in the 80s. They specialised more in replacement rather than performance exhausts.

No further details are currently being given on the potential buyers at present.
