The Three Sisters race circuit in the North West has closed with immediate effect after its operators, The Racing School, went into liquidation last week.

The leaseholders, Motor Circuit Management are currently looking into new circuit operators so that the track can be reopened.

The staff at the circuit have all been made redundant following the liquidation of the operators.

And some customers have reportedly lost up to £1800 following the closure of the circuit, with events and parties booked that will no longer be going ahead. There is further uncertainty as to what’s going to happen to the money of those who have already booked.

The compact venue, which is located just off the M6, is an internationally accredited Karting circuit that also hosted track days, supermoto and car racing.

A statement from the circuit concluded, “Can we thank the fans and customers of Three Sisters Race Circuit for their support and understanding during this difficult time and reassure the public that we are doing all we can to step in to re-employ the many staff whose livelihoods depend on the circuit and to ensure this valuable North West facility remains operational.”

The circuit will remain closed until a new circuit operator or management is found.
