Was this the largest all-female GP track parade?

213 women took to the Silverstone GP circuit during the recent British round of MotoGP in what could turn out to be the largest all-female motorcycle parade on a GP circuit.

The record attempt was organised by Sherrie Woolf and Nimi Patel, who ride a BMW HP4 and Suzuki GSX-R1000 respectively. The pair met at the Ace Cafe and regularly organise events to show just how many females there are in the biking world.

After organising their first event at the Ace Cafe in 2015, the pair organised the world’s largest all female bike meet earlier this year, with 1,132 ladies in attendance at the event, which was held at Lynn’s Raven Cafe in Whitchurch. So far the pair have raised over £8,000 for charity.

MCN caught up with Sherrie after the ride: “Today came about by being cheeky. I was speaking to some people at the MotoGP. We were going to do a bike night here but we were too late and so ended up doing this instead. We only got confirmation that we could do this nine weeks ago. We put it out on social media and it just went from there! We are here for the weekend, until Monday. It’s been great and Silverstone have been really helpful.”
