BSB stars including Brad Ray and Jason O’Halloran are helping a racing club’s charity fundraising drive after one of their photographers died from cancer in July.

Members of the Formula Prostocks Racing Club, which campaigns mostly 1990s and 2000s era machines
such as Suzuki Bandits and early Aprilia RSV1000s, will be racing in pink at their next round at Castle Combe on August 20-21 in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

There will also be pink T-shirts on sale for £10, further specially printed pink T-shirts (£20) and stickers (£2) all rounded off with a special parade lap of riders wearing pink.

In addition, BSB stars including Ray, O’Halloran, Peter Hickman, Tom Neave and Ash Barnes have donated items such as signed race boots and merchandise for the club’s charity raffle with all proceeds being added to the fundraiser.

It’s all being done in memory of club photographer Jenny Triker Wells who died from cancer on July 11.

“She was loved by many across many clubs,” said Craig Harris, who is racing in pink along with Lee Marks, Chris ‘Eagle’ Edwards, Mark Wardle, Martin Bennett, Rob Jones and Keith Chambers.

“She witnessed our best and worst moments through the lens of her camera. I’m sure there are of plenty of stories we all will have to remember her by.”
