Fifty shades of Indian Motorcycle: Limited FTR Stealth Gray arrives

Revived American manufacturer Indian Motorcycle has just announced this special, limited edition version of its punchy, flat track-style FTR roadster.

Called the FTR Stealth Gray, it has been specifically designed for Indian’s international markets, features a one-off colour scheme and is to be restricted to just 150 units worldwide.

The FTR was launched in 2019 and has proved one of Indian’s most popular overseas models – moving away from the US cruiser style found in the rest of the line-up in favour of Euro-friendly styling, excess of 120bhp, and more.

With sharp steering and distinctive styling inspired by the FTR750 racer, which dominates American flat track racing, it handled and looked as well as it went, too.

A variety of models were offered with top spec ‘S’ examples boasting TFT instruments, three riding modes, Brembo brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust. In 2021 the FTR was refined further with a remap, new 17in wheels/tyres and revised steering geometry.

The ‘Stealth Grey’ now adds to that ‘S’ spec with what Indian calls: “A striking new paint and graphics scheme designed to appeal to the international rider who loves American heritage, wants race-inspired performance and craves a modern and sharp cosmopolitan look.”

“From its 2019 launch we’ve seen the global appeal of the FTR as a true American original,” said Grant Bester Vice President International, Indian Motorcycle.

“We are now proud to introduce the FTR Stealth Gray Special Edition which takes the FTR’s American heritage and iconic silhouette, and combines its dynamic performance with understated, under the radar, styling.”

The UK price for the new special edition bike is £16,095.
