Motorcycle industry veteran Andy Ibbott, who suffered a catastrophic stroke in 2011, is trekking to Everest Base Camp to raise money for charity.

A former MCN road tester, Ibbott worked around bikes his entire life as a journalist and instructor until his stroke.

Since then he’s worked tirelessly to rehabilitate himself, while also taking on challenges to raise money for good causes. Trekking to base camp will be his biggest challenge yet, with an aim of raising £10,000 for Two Wheels for Life.

Ibbott said: “I wanted to do something big that not only helped people less fortunate than us here in the UK, but also promoted how motorcycles help save lives, and that’s exactly what Two Wheels for Life and Riders for Health do.”
