Electrifying savings! Zero offer up to £3500 off across their plug-in range

Zero Motorcycles are hoping they can attract more riders to make the switch to battery power, with up to £3500 off across their range with cash purchases, or zero deposit, or zero interest finance options until the end of May.

Riders can choose to have up to £3500 off the RRP when purchasing any new, unused 2023 or 2022 Zero motorcycle, meaning the company’s naked DS model, which is capable of a claimed top speed of 86mph and has a range of 162 miles, could be ridden away for £14,540.

Zero DSR/X

The top-of-the-line DSR/X adventure bike will be available for £20,650 while the sporty, 126mph top-end SR/S could be yours for £20,495.

This deal runs independently of the zero deposit and zero interest options.

“We were very disappointed when the UK Government withdrew the plug-in electric vehicle grant last year and there’s no doubt that it has had an adverse effect on the adoption of electric motorcycles over the past 12 months,” UK Country Manager Dale Robinson said. “The UK is not the only country to have been affected by this kind of legislative change, which seems at odds with the drive for net zero.”

The Department for Transport announced changes to the plug-in grant scheme on December 15, 2021, meaning battery motorcycles priced up to £10,000 would now receive 35% off, up to a maximum of £500. Mopeds would get 35% off, up to a value of £150. Under old rules, all new road-registered electric bikes received a price reduction of £1500 or 20% – whichever was smallest – at the point of sale.

Because the cheapest Zero model is the £13,435 dual-purpose FX (before any discount), the range currently doesn’t qualify for the Government system.
