Polish police have opened their wallet and purchased over 500 specially modified BMW R1250RTs for official law-keeping duties.

In total, 503 of the R1250RT-P (P for police) machines were bought, making it the largest ever purchase of police motorcycles in the history of the Polish force.

“We are proud of the trust placed in us by the Polish police. We are delighted to be working with such an important institution,” Karol Kostrzewa, Director of BMW Motorrad Polska said.

The final shipment was handed over just before Christmas, with all but 25 of them already put into active service. The remaining batch will be used for training purposes.
