Is it a bird? No, it's a Ural inspired by one

Ural have released their latest project bike inspired by our feathered friends, this time the Green Tanager (a brightly-coloured bird from the forests of Ecuador and Columbia), with the special accessories available from dealers.

This is the second avian inspired project bike following on from the Red Sparrow which came about in 2020. With many custom projects going through the Ural doors with requests for a whole array of coloured frames, racks and accents, the company had an idea that a red kickstarter would look cool.

The Red Sparrow takes that idea to the limit with a Northwest Grey painted colour base, a black powertrain and a protective body polyurethane undercoating.

Plus a red accent accessories package which includes the skid plate and the genesis of the project, the kick-starter. Other upgrades include a GPR two-into-one high pipe exhaust and Koso red meteor grips.

The latest iteration is based on the vivid green bird’s plumage with the Ural Gear Up receiving green frame rails, luggage racks, headlight surround and cylinder heads on a bright blue base.

The bike, complete with trademark sidecar, is also adorned with a line painting of the bird in green on the airbox cover and sidecar body.

Ural offer these and many more bespoke and custom-coloured accents with the two bird inspired models acting as an example of what can be achieved with the base model Gear Up.
