Brough Superior begin delivery of CNC machined engines

Brough Superior is now allowing customers to opt for a new CNC machined engine instead of the traditional foundry block, following the installation of the Hurco 5-axis CNC centre earlier this year.

Developed for the production needs of the Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro, the CNC machined engine fits perfectly into the new Dagger or Lawrence models, but can also be used in the classic range like the Brough Superior SS100, if desired.

The twin-cylinder engine is also lighter, stiffer and a little more powerful, than the foundry alternative although the architecture and displacement of the 997cc engine remains unchanged.

“The first deliveries took place in April, and they concern both new sales and bikes that were already on our order backlog. We offer this solution to our customers as an additional option”, said Albert Castaigne, General Manager of Brough Superior Motorcycles.
