Bonhams Auctions have achieved a massive £3 million in sales with this year’s Spring Stafford Sale, making it the highest grossing UK motorcycle auction of the year so far.

Over the course of the late April weekend, 365 lots were offered attracting bidders from over 38 countries and achieving a whopping 95% sell-through rate.

Day one saw over £600,000 raised but it was the Sunday that really stole the show, with £2.19 million worth of stock finding new homes.

48-cylinder 'Tinker Toy'

Among this was a 1949 Vincent Black Lightning Series-C selling for £150,000, a pre-war offering from the same manufacturer – a 1938 Vincent-HRD Rapide Series-A, selling for £228,850, and the world record beating Whitelock 48-cylinder 4200cc Tinker Toy, selling for £92,000.

If you missed out on this one, Bonhams are holding their next auction from June 14-24.
