The Simon Andrews Fund is coming to an end after a decade of supporting injured motorcycle racers, organisers have confirmed.

Announced on the official Facebook page, the support was set up following the death of popular racer Simon Andrews at the 2014 North West 200.

A tribute lap was organised to take place on Mad Sunday at the Isle of Man TT the following month and after thousands joined the procession, the annual Simon Andrews Legacy Lap was born the following year.

The lap, whilst carrying Simon’s name, is to remember all fallen racers as well as raise money for the Simon Andrews Fund for Injured Riders – program that assisted injured racers with rehabilitation.

Fund organisers confirmed that the lap would continue during the TT fortnight, with the remaining money they have going to support race marshals, Air Ambulance charities, and more.
