Rookie to Racer: Ducati declare dates for their 2024 DRE rider training academy

Ducati have confirmed dates for their 2024 DRE Riding Experiences, with the program now entering its eleventh year.

Having seen over 30,000 enthusiasts through its doors in that time, DRE events promise an unforgettable weekend hosted by a roster of highly professional instructors including racers Michele Pirro, Karel Abraham, Alex De Angelis, all geared towards making you safer and faster on two wheels. 

Aimed at all levels of skill, the Ducati Riding Experience advertises dream days of riding for rookies and racers alike. Prices range from around £216 for the amateur orientated ‘Rookie’ course, through to £1990 for the full fat ‘Racetrack Master’, which offers highly personalised tuition, data analysis and just two pupils per instructor. 

For the most loyal enthusiasts looking to experience ultimate exclusivity, the DRE Racetrack program offers further one-to-one training, enabling direct, uninterrupted access to expert coaching, open pit access and end of session debriefs.  

Appointments for both DRE ‘Road’ and ‘Rookie’ courses, geared towards upskilling rider safety and confidence, take place at the Modena Autodrome, Italy on the weekend of the 18-19 May. Rookie courses are solely for A2 licence holders, aged between 18 and 24.

For those chasing faster lap times and high-octane thrills, or merely an introduction to circuit riding, the ‘Racetrack’ experiences are scheduled for 18-19 June as well as the weekends of 14-15 and 25-26 September at the Misano World Circuit.

Those looking to broaden their dirt-based repertoire can sample the latest fleet from Ducati’s adventure lineup too, with the firm announcing a partnership with the Sweet Lamb adventure centre in Wales back at Motorcycle Live 2023.

Offering access to both the Multistrada and Desert X platforms, the ‘Adventure Academy’ provides tailored programs to suit everyone from dirt biking fledglings to seasoned veterans looking to take their riding to the next level. Dates are TBC.
