Staff Blog: Night Riding Fun

Is it just me or do your skills sharpen as you ride in the dark and your speed increase?

Riding the 50 miles from Silverstone to home the other night I really enjoyed the dark journey. The lights on Yamaha Fazer8 give really good visibility and I noticed that I was using other cars, cats eye and road markings far more than I do in daylight. I found my speed increasing and at points I had to curb it a little, I was nearing three figure speeds which are never a good thing.

I also found other road users seemed to see me far more than they do in daylight, another bonus!
