Triumph Daytona 675R initial thoughts
I've had the Triumph Daytona 675R for about a month now, and I have to say it is absolutely brilliant.
Having come from a 2010 675, I wasn't sure what to expect, and to be honest, I found the standard 675 a little underwhelming. Not in terms of ride, but in terms of the way it made me feel.
The R model however is simply stunning. The feel through the front wheel is vast, so much so that the confidence is actually knocked at first, but after around 800 miles I think I'm getting there.
In terms of power, it's immense - more than I'll ever need.
Quality is great, other than the side stickers not being beneath the lacquer like the ones on the tank. But for the noise, torque, handling, comfort and smoothness of the quickshifter I'd have to agree with the ten out of ten the bike seems to attract.
Very happy so far, but if like me, you found the standard bike somehow underwhelming, try and get a ride on the R. I took a chance that it would be better and luckily I wasn't disappointed.
By the way, if you're wondering if sticking the pipe on the side makes any difference, I'm here to tell you it does, and if a wally like me can notice the difference then it must be good.
