The Energica Ego 45 is an electric superbike made in Modena, Italy, which produces 100Kw of power – similar to a 600cc sportsbike, but also weighs 280kg, thanks to the batteries.

If you don’t get too excited with the throttle a full charge should last 90 miles, although this reduces to 50 miles on more enthusiastic rides. Is it the future of the sportsbike?
