First ride of new Ducati Scrambler Café Racer incoming.

We’ll be riding Ducati’s new Scrambler Café Racer at its world launch in Italy on Friday

The £9305, 803cc air-cooled, 50bhp L-twin Café Racer is the latest addition to the hugely popular Scrambler family, following hot on the heels of the Desert Sled off-roader.

There are now six Scramblers to choose from: Café Racer, Desert Sled, Full Throttle, Classic, Icon and the A2 licence-friendly Sixty2

The new Cafe Racer has the same basic Scrambler DNA, bejewelled with racy clip-ons and bar end mirrors, a swingarm-mounted number plate hanger, removable stubby single seat unit and classy black and gold paintwork. The number ‘54’ on the side panels is a nod to Ducati racer Bruno Spaggiari, who finished just behind race winner Paul Smart in the famous ’72 Imola 200.

Check back here on Friday and on MCN’s social media channels to discover our first impressions and read the full test in the 12th April issue of MCN.
