KTM reveals its CRF beater

1 of 1

Since the FIM announced that from 2003 four-stroke 450s would be able to compete with two-stroke 250s, companies have rushing to release hardcore 450s to rival Honda’s CRF450. And now it’s KTM’s turn.

Click on the link on the right to read in detail the model changes KTM has in store for its entire SX range.

The Austrian firm’s 400SX has become the new 450SX and received a number of other changes at the same time.

The 46mm upside down WP forks have been replaced with 48mm units, while the WP shock has received a larger oil capacity – to reduce overheating – as well as revised internals.

KTM also tell us that the subframe has undergone a diet, allowing the waif like bike to feel even thinner between your legs.

The two-stroke 200 SX and 250 SX have also received the same changes. The bikes will be on sale within the month, costing around £4100 for the 200 and 250 SX, and around £5200 for the 450SX. For more details visit. www.ktm.co.uk
