Be first with the results of 2002’s top tests

We’re in the sunshine of the south of France to pitch the current king of the sports bike crop against one of its hottest new challengers. It’s the GSX-R1000 alongside the new bigger-bore Blade.

Rain delayed play on Friday but we’re going to carry on riding throughout the weekend and bring you our testers’ first impressions early on Monday morning. And during next week we’ll add exclusive video, too.

And this is just one of a huge collection of must-read tests you’ll see FIRST on this site this Spring. In the next few months we’ll be riding the new R1, the new SP-2, the updated and uprated Pan European, Ducati’s 998S and 998R, Triumph’s Speed Four, Suzuki’s V-Strom and Kawasaki’s ZZ-R1200 and 636cc 2002 ZX-6R.

Then of course there are the all-important comparison tests: imagine the new R1 against the new Blade and the GSX-R1000. How about the 998S taking on the SP-2? Can the ZZ-R1200 live with the new Pan European or the FJR1300? Is the V-Strom a bike to beat the R1150GS? Is the Speed Four worth the extra over a Hornet 600? We’ll be trying to answer all those questions FIRST and FASTEST with our expert team of widely experienced testers, aided by video and soundfiles whenever possible to help you get to the heart of the experience.

It’s going to be quite a year. Make sure you’re checking back regularly so you never miss out.
