The 2003 Suzuki range

Suzuki has taken its already awesome GSX-R1000 to the next level for 2003.

The new bike gets a major restyle calling on lessons learned from the firm’s GSV-R MotoGP bike. Every one of the bike’s panels has changed and it is also lighter and more powerful.

A new casting method for the frame has helped shed 1kg and changes to the motor have seen another 5bhp added.

The new GSX-R1000 is due to go on sale early next year, and is likely to be priced very close to the current machine’s £9349. Three colour options will be offered – blue, black and white, plain silver or an unusual copper and black version.

See next week’s MCN for more details on the new GSX-R1000 and news of the other GSX-R machines.
