2005 ZX-6R revealed

1 of 1

Kawasaki’s 2005 ZX-6R features a slipper clutch as standard, MotoGP-style fuel injection, wavy brake discs and a high-revving 107bhp engine.

Full details are revealed in the issue of MCN dated August 25, 2004.

It retains a 636cc engine – with lighter internals for faster revving. The styling is radically updated with a sexy new look incorporating the aerodynamic thinking demonstrated on the ZX-RR MotoGP bike.

The alloy twin-spar frame is all new.

The 2005 bike also has a braced swingarm and – a first for a Kawasaki – an underseat-exiting exhaust.
