A new BMW production problem has been revealed. This time it’s the R1200GS that’s concerned – hot on the heels of the decision to delay the K1200S due to another fault.

BMW says “There has been a slight problem with the rear axle on the R1200GS. Some 100 units are affected by a fault in the production when making the part on which the rear axle is fixed.

“It is not dangerous, and most affected bikes have now been repaired.”

BMW says it will contact R1200GS owners if their bike is affected.
